Motivation for college: education or salary?

Going to college is actually one of the major regrets of my life. Sure I know a bunch of mostly useless knowledge, but it wasn't worth 4 years of my life. It's a scam that forces people into the workplace because they are sold this idea that they need college and then go into massive debt to get themselves a 4 year degree that isn't that useful. There is soooo much in life that money doesn't buy. The massive effort that people go to just to get a little more money is mind boggling. Most lives are totally wasted in the pursuit of money and material goods.
