What is the one, true and correct way to interpret the Bible, and can you demonstrate why it is?

Pretty much every Christian responds to criticism of scripture with something along the lines of "you don't understand Scripture properly" or "very basic biblical based understanding of Christianity" leads one to a more proper truth.

What basis do you have for implying that you understand the bible more 'accurately' than non-believers? What is the objective standard of accuracy?
