Dawkins seems to put agnosticism as the mid-point on his scale, but agnosticism is not the belief that the existence of god is a 50/50 thing. Agnosticism is simply a way of thinking about the nature of knowledge of gods. An agnostic may believe in God or may not believe in God, but would never go as far as to say "I know God exists". So, practically, an agnostic could be anywhere on the scale between 2 and 6 inclusive.

Actually, that is precisely what Dawkins said when he created that scale.

No confusion whatsoever.
