God's jealousy is for our own good - nice one. You don't find that kind of justification anywhere outside of religion.

Is it prideful or vain is to just state the simple truth?
No

As to wrath, remember God is in charge and although He does allow free will, God can certainly punish evil and can curtail its spread.

So if a man flies in a jealous rage and threatens his wife with a horrible physical punishment just because she talked to another man, its OK as long as he's telling the truth and that his threats are valid??

A mugger gives you free will too, you can always choose to get shot!
