This kind of reminds me of the alternate take on the 'Footprints' plaque. You've all seen it...a line of footprints in the sand, and Jesus saying, 'In the rough places, I picked you up and carried you' blah blah blah.
Alternately, the supplicant says, 'Lord, I notice that in the easy places of my journey, there were two sets of footprints, so I know you were at my side. But in the rough place, there was only one set of footprints. Why?'
And God replies, 'Gee, I don't know - maybe that's when I was off helping one of the seven billion OTHER people in the world, you selfish prick.'
