Mmmhhhnnn Something I consider to be a embarrassing moment in our nations history, that we have to learn from. Unfortunately not even the lawsuits are still running in some places, and the pain is quite raw. I am fortunate to be living in a town with one of the few flourishing native reserves. Most are appalling.
I recently did extensive research into the topic. The testimonies are heartbreaking and yea, the effect is still felt.
