Actually, you do see threads like that. Specifically, they tend to be in the introduction thread. And you see them over and over and over and over again to the point that it's so common that it's not even noteworthy anymore.
I mean, hell, at one point I probably would have started a thread titled "Christian who became an atheist" but now I'm so removed from a Christian identity that I don't even think that's really that true anymore.
