There was a link posted in one of these threads discussing the translation of virgins vs raisins in reference to what awaits in paradise. That is an example of a possible translation issue. Since I neither speak arabic nor old arabic, I am not able to show those translations personally. But languages change over time is a fundamental basis of the field of linguistics. And apparently, scholars do debate this stuff as deduced from the virgins vs raisins example, and on top of that you yourself admitted there are differences and islamic scholars translate according to their beliefs but you downplayed all that.
