They have trouble with outright scorn. For far too long they got used to the idea that people had to "respect" their beliefs.

Thank you for that, I get into all sorts of trouble because I reject the idea that any person or idea is entitled to respect. My respect is earned or it is not earned. Frodo has earned my respect for sheer bloody mindedness mixed with some visible intelligence.. (unlike Watson,whom I'm beginning to think is a rather dim 14 year old boy)

I also loathe proselytisers of any kind I think it's arrogant and ignorant,and think it's despicable to involve children (the JWs often bring their ankle biters)----if they knock at my door THAT is what they are told.I then politely close the door.
