Boxing Day is December 26, ie the hangover from xmas Day. The remains of xmas dinner, often disguised as sandwiches, telly which didn't make the xmas day cut, the realisation that, after all the build-up, xmas is as far away as it ever was. I have no idea of its origin but interestingly for me, I understand that it also used to be called St Stephen's day or the Feast of Stephen (of Good King Wenceslas fame). Alternate spelling aside, since it shares my real name my lifelong attempts to claim it as my own special day and feast thereon are ongoing.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
