The remains of xmas dinner, often disguised as sandwiches, telly which didn't make the xmas day cut, the realisation that, after all the build-up, xmas is as far away as it ever was. I have no idea of its origin but interestingly for me, I understand that it also used to be called St Stephen's day or the Feast of Stephen (of Good King Wenceslas fame). Alternate spelling aside, since it shares my real name my lifelong attempts to claim it as my own special day and feast thereon are ongoing.
On Boxing day it used to be the tradition to give tradesmen and servants a little something. This something for whatever reason was known as the Christmas box, hence boxing day.
In my house we mainly roll around on boxing day saying either "my belly " or "my Head" depending on what vice we most went for on Christmas day.
You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.
