I seem to be the same way. I'm fascinated by all these places in the world that are searingly hot...except for their searing heat. Melbourne looks beautiful. But wicked hot. Death Valley has gorgeous landscape, but....
And I'm headed on a cruise this March. Not sure how that's going to go. I thought the Caribbean was supposed to be hot as well.
But it's like the heat is what makes these places so dam striking.
