Salvation was about reducing the number of people in Hell. All the rest was just making people's wordily lives better. There were a couple instances of Jesus saying that a person's sins were forgiven, but the real work occurred on the Cross.
His ministry vs. his mission of ultimate Salvation is akin to give a man a fish vs. teach a man to fish.
Yes, but today we live in a world of atleast 4 Billion non Christians that his ministry could reach in days. Most of which will go to hell if nothing is done.
