Why should a person be forced to be the life support system for an embryo?
Hypothetical:
A person is dying and the only way to keep them alive is to connect them up to you so can be their life support system, sharing your blood supply, food supply, waste disposal, etc. You have to be connected to them for 9 months. This process has the same health consequences for you as that of a pregnancy.
The State is going to force you to do this.
Do they have the right to force you to be the life support system for another person?
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
