Quote:"The decapitators" is how the Adra residents, who managed to flee the violence there, now call the people who currently have the town under their control. Adra, a town with a population of 20,000, was captured by Islamist rebels from the Al-Nusra front and the Army of Islam last week, following fierce fighting with the government forces. The town’s seizure was accompanied by mass executions of civilians.
Muslims killing muslims.
I guess you criticize the religion of the murderers, but how about the religion of the murdered?
Quote:But the correlation between terrorism and ALL religions is rather persuasiveTerrorism is a relatively new phenomenon. And Islamic terrorism even newer. Its a cold war leftover thing. Its was fed by the west, and is still fed by the west. I guess you don't know that the Islamic terrorist factions in Syria are being supported by the NATO?
I know, because my country supports them with the blessing of the NATO. Another very prominent supporter is Saudi Arabia, known for its anti-Iranian antics, with its clerics giving out daily US approved sermons regarding the evils of Shiism.
Quote:err... aren't all those guys mulsims?Yeah, does it not?
A muslim shooting a muslim to turn him into a muslim.... somethings doesn't sound right, here....
Because he's not really trying to convert anyone, these guys aren't the noble Ghazis of old, my ancestors.
The situation in Syria is one that has a political goal. The Assad regime is supported by Iran, and Assad himself is Shia. If the regime is toppled, the current regime will be one that is regulated by a NATO member, namely, Turkey.
Quote:There's 10% Christians in Syria, he may have been a Christian...I don't know. It was one of these youtube videos that you catch before it's removed forever lol.Yeah, Chaldeans. Though they aren't the targets unless they support the Assad regime.
To be honest, when I look back at the days of the Ottoman Empire, I cannot comprehend how everything turned out like this. The Arab, during the days of the Ottoman empire...was frankly the most sedentary and least warlike population of the Empire. Throughout the 600 years of the Empire they only revolted once(I don't count the Mamelukes and the Barbary States in this one) and that with the help of the British.
They were rather happy with sitting on their asses all day, smoking hookkah and tending to their fields, their businesses, producing and consuming exotic luxury goods, and taking part in their national sport, inter-tribal warfare in non-urban areas.
But now, they have been born again as the hard-ass ghazis as it seems. But they don't seem to be fighting the küffar, but fellow musulman.
They can't do anything right.
