Also, we have a great record of solar eclipses at that times as well history in general. Neither seneca or pliny or any other contemporary naturalist records any eclipse that copuld coincide with the crucifixion and despite it being the silver age of latin literature not a single contemporary historian mentions him. And lots of whackos just like jesus do get mentioned, such as the egyptian, simon of perea and apollonius of tyana.
