There's a certain amount of malicious sneering about it - it usually (as far as I've heard it) implies a rich older woman who keeps a young pretty boy-toy around for fucks.
I was just wondering why there had to be the label. You don't automatically become a cougar after some arbitrary age, and being in that 25-40 area as we are doesn't require a label where some dude can say "awwww yisssss, gonna pick me up some [insert label here] 2nite!"
Though, to tell you the truth, I wasn't half so irritated at the label questions as the "ur".
