Surprisingly, I don't think evidence is possible.
But on the topic of belief, I agree religious people can be a bad source. I've met more than my fair share of religious people who don't know what they are talking about. But I've also met smart people who happened to be religious. I personally choose to value people more than their beliefs, so I don't think I could go as far as to say people who believe differently than I don't know what they are talking about. Because on some basic human level they understand (or I would hope they understand) life outside of their beliefs.
Although I understand what you mean, and in fact agree that religious people can be very ignorant.
