The fact that Jesus didn't return and establish his kingdom was already an embarrassment to the church by the time 2 Peter was written, hence the shameless spin. To quote it in the 21st Century as some kind of assurance that all will come to pass is simply pathetic. Grow up.According to the Bible, no man knows when Jesus will return.
One more thing the the Booble or Bubble or whatever that stupid book is, is wrong about.
I do know exactly when Jzuz will return -- never. Never, ever, ever, ever. Coming to terms with that is the first step to embracing reality and abandoning stupid superstitions.
I can't imagine how miserable it must be for people to be mind-fucked into expecting something that is not going to happen. I read the stuff written by rapture freaks -- it's really sad. Just pathetic that these people want so much to waste their lives expecting the return of Skweezuz. It seems to me that on some deep level they have to know that it's all bullshit.
A mind is a terrible thing to waste -- don't pollute it with bullshit.
