This same friend also told me about some people he met because his daughter was friends with their daughter. They were chatting about something or other when the mother asks my buddy what church they go to. He replied that they don't go to church because they're atheists. The woman was aghast. Her reply was, "You're atheists? But you're such nice people!"

Can you believe the condescension? The obvious implication is that believers are good while atheists are evil scum. What an absurd mindset!
Science flies us to the moon and stars. Religion flies us into buildings.

God allowed 200,000 people to die in an earthquake. So what makes you think he cares about YOUR problems?
