I'll bite; hypotheticals can be fun.
If there were a god, loving or not, and it was demonstrated beyond all possible doubt (since the affirmation would be so world-altering) to be such a creature, I would have no choice but to accept it as a reality. However, note that crucial caveat in the middle there: "demonstrated" - because that's the word that believers and associated proselytisers have trouble with.
