It can also be said if we live forever, our time is of more value since it has a perpetual effect and consequence in the future as opposed to just ending with our time no longer effecting the future.

Everything that we do is based upon the past. The richer one's past is in experiences the richer one's present is. So as long as you continued to have a rich past of experiences the more enjoyable a long future will be.
If you could live forever but you spent a trillion years in chains in a dark hole all alone your future might not be too appealing.
