And you'll never see me defend Vietnam as a just or necessary war.

There has never been a left-wing equivalent to the Tea Party in the United States in terms of numbers and political influence. Left-wing terror groups, such as they even were, always existed on the fringe.
We're not living in history. We're living in today, where the right wing of our political system advocates open revolt and the dismantling of whatever we have left that resembles democracy to the extent that it is open only to the right people. All, of course, in the names of the men who pioneered that system.
I'm not intimately familiar with the Tea Party, but I would wager that the majority of them are just like the majority of people everywhere. They just want to live normal lives, drink coffee and go about their daily business. What you are talking about is the fringe of the fringe and then extrapolating it to be the whole thing. A few Tea partiers say they want revolt so the whole thing wants revolt so the whole right wing wants revolt. It's kind of like as if I said the democratic party believes in flying saucers visited earth just because Denis Kucinich does. Also a quick google search brings up the Tea Party platform, which has no mention of open revolt. http://www.teaparty-platform.com/ It's fair to oppose an ideology, but you should do so because the ideology is flawed not to strawman them and almost literally hold millions of normal people responsible for murder because of a few wackjobs.
On a slightly different note, it's not super surprising to see a bunch of conspiracy theory crap on that guys facebook page.
