Fantasy is still fantasy irrespective of it's source or who tells it.
Stories are more persuasive if they are fiction than if they are non-fiction. For instance, you can probably recall almost every fictional movie and book you've ever seen or read but you will have difficulty recalling details of real events.
As shown on this forum everyone knows the Adam & Eve Garden of Eden and Noah flood stories because they are plainly fiction. The stories themselves state that they are fiction but people tend to ignore those declarations and will swear that they are true. As it says in the Bible, people will believe delusions and lies but reject the truth.
