There is an easy fix to this issue. Tell your politicians to pull their heads out of their asses and make contraceptives free.
Having an abortion is not shameful. Having 10 abortions in your country is not shameful. What is shameful is is looking down on women as if they're the only ones who want to have sex without having babies. What is shameful is a government that leaves women with the option to not have sex or have an abortion and does not offer them an option of safe sex.
You don't want to pay for abortions? I don't want to pay for unwanted babies. You don't like abortion as a contraceptive? Stand up and speak out to your government. Ask your country's politicians to make smart choices and write responsible legislation.
I laughed at the part of 'smart choices' and 'responsible legislation'! Our politicians don't do such! Abortion is only legal because there was a referendum, only 40% of the population went to vote, YES won by 52% of votes (in 40% of the population) however if everyone voted NO would most definitely win. I think it is shameful to pay for this, know the free contraceptives are low quality, however you cannot demand high quality contraceptives without more taxes (and currently raising taxes is impossible, they are already to high), you pay what you come to get. If you do not have quality contraceptives, at least use the low quality ones, or use 'natural' methods to stop pregnancy, even someone very poor can afford a contraceptive, some kind of pill alike contraceptive such as the arm implant are free but few women know about it, it works 99% of the time.
