Try comparing "communism" to "democracy", you might find it more informative and less embarrassing. If you want to bring your christian majority into the arena, and if you thought that the christianity bit was somehow informative - then we'd be talking about a theocracy. So, I suppose we could look at Iran (close, but not quite) and the old USSR (not even remotely close but I doubt you care) and say "yep - both shitholes, glad the christian majority didn't get their way in the US".
