Mankind has and only one grew up not in sin and rebellion towards God.
So it's not a choice at all, then. If specific individuals can't choose to steer clear of sin and rebellion, if even babies without the capacity for cogent thought are held responsible for a "crime" they personally didn't commit, then none of us have the option, and Jesus' "sacrifice" is nothing more than entrapment to escape a scenario that god has merely arbitrarily defined us all into, regardless of our actions or intent.
So when you say that we choose sin and rebellion and so therefore the bad stuff that happens is on us, what you really meant is that we don't choose, but that since you're okay with that and not okay with god having to take responsibility for his power, you're fine with doublethinking it away.
