You know, I watched a Louis Theroux documentary on the Israel/Palestine conflict just recently, if there's one thing it made me realise, it's that it's exactly because of religion that the Jews and Palestinians are at odds.
A difference about whose land it happens to be, yeah, and why do they have this difference? Because the Jews claim the land as their holy land. The Zionist settlers are stealing the Palestinian's land, precisely because they believe it is theirs by divine right. If it weren't for religion, it's highly unlikely this particular issue would even exist.
