Indeed. I have no doubt that is true of many,but it's not what I meant. I was referring to learning to actually learn and to understand.. For example as part of a degree course,which is what I did with the Qur'an and Aborigine myths and legends.
From that time on, I've also read the sacred books and myths of several other cultures,,ranging from Sumeria,to Egypt to South America to India. I do not consider any of that time wasted.
