Why do people hate school shooters?

Uhh...at the risk of sounding self-righteous, I think I'm more moral than someone who shoots a school full of kids.

I should certainly hope so. But people generally credit themselves where such credit isn't really due. I consider myself a good person too. But I don't blame myself, rather I blame an abundance of luck.
