Maybe, but I do not know that for sure. Especially some of the prose. It may be that some were based on oral history and embellished over the years. Supernatural explanations for natural occurrences and the like.

40 years in a desert? The Sahara is 5000km long and at 5 clicks a day, it would only take three years.

Maybe some were fiction and possibly some stories were not. Still, the point was that the babble-book is probably littered with facts, but that would not in and of itself prove any of the stories are real.

Simply look at what I said in my previous posts about scientific methods and how to apply them to the bible in this very thread. And you also left out the second part of what I said in my previous post, which was yet another attempt at explaining the difference.
