Actually, GC, I have read the bible. When I was a Christian, I did go to scripture to find the answers and you know what I discovered? The entire book contradicts itself. One verses says one thing and the other says something totally different. Asking the Christians that I respected only got an explanation as to why their particular view was not only correct but plainly obvious from scripture even though all these good Christians were contradicting each other. Worse, they made me feel stupid for not automatically agreeing with their interpretation.

Christians believe that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are the same being so if one sees something don't all three? I thought the three aspects of god were equal so why would one be able to be in the presence of sin and not the others? Do you have bible verses to back this up?
