My dad firmly believes that humankind is the only thing in nature that is able and willing to kill itself and take down everything else with it.

Your dad's a wise man then.

But our closest relatives, the chimps, love their wars too. They only don't have our destructive capabilities.

I like that, chimps even sometimes eat each other, they don't sit in trees all day eating bananas lol.
