As for Whatever's question, (great question by the way)- we are supposed to be "Led" by the Spirit.
Which to me, is not a shot-gun approach to speaking to people about spiritual things.
Paul said - some plant- some water- God gets the increase.
For my own family- I comitt them to God.
I do the committing and the results I leave at God's doorstep.
In my wife's family, there are hard core Catholics.
I have left off any spiritual conversation with them, rather than arguments.
We get along fine.
Their eyes will be opened soon enough.
My wife was the first one of their kids to leave Catholicism, when she came to the truth- she said,
"Now Lord, get the rest of them". And at this point there is only 2 staunch ones left.
They see the fruit in the lives of the ones who left and have acclimated themselves to the fact they are not coming back.
6 out of 8 isn't bad.
I am not discouraged at all by the falling away, the tsunami that is coming will more than reverse it.
That's why the end of the age is called the Harvest.
