I suppose this topic has about run its course. Been interesting reading but nothing too revealing.
I'm not sure that I was expecting any christians to confess to ex-communicating an apostate child, that would be something.
What we've got are admissions of pity, sadness and such yet almost all the de-conversion stories I read talk about rejection, anger and much much worse from their own family in a lot of cases.
It doesn't seem to match up, unless the christians here are not typical of the mainstream, I don't know.
