As someone who voted for him in 08, what cost him my vote in 2012 was his continuation of the growth of the Security State by extending the Patriot Act. He has not lived up to his promise to be the "most transparent" Administration in history; he has not even laid the groundwork for prosecuting our war criminals; he has not gone nearly far enough in limiting the NSA's penetration of private databases, even after promises to do so.
