Find me one damn salt-water dwelling mammal who has their "skin come off" on fresh water.
Oh wait, don't bother, they don't exist.
I suggest you do some basic research before starting with the 'areyoufuckingkiddingme?'
For your 'one damn salt-water dwelling mammal', I give you, the dolphin.
Should a dolphin spend to long in fresh water, in addition to the bouyancy issues, it's skin will begin to slough rather like the skin of a human being that remains under water for the same approximate length of time. For reference, you may start with P.G.H.Evans (1987) The Natural History of Whales and Dolphins. Christoper Helm Publishers, London.
Another reference is here: http://www.sunlightonwater.com/about-dolphins.asp
Now, after the skin has begun to slough, if the exposure continues for any great length of time, some of skin will eventually start to peel away. You can confirm this phenomenon for yourself by spending a few hours in the bathtub and watch parts of your outer layer of skin start to come away.
Additionally, a salt water dolphin's skin will be much more vulnerable to disease when in fresh water, causing skin lesions that can quickly become fatal - http://topnews.us/content/219420-tattoo-...hin-deaths.
