This is convenient for this particular brand of theist who justify their beliefs this way. Physical evidence of the non physical always loses to the logic hammer.
Non-physical things are things like ideas they don't really have an existence other than in the mind.
Saying god is non-physical is exactly the same as saying he isn't real.
