Hebrews 11:6
"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
"I'll see it when I believe it"?
How is that any different from insanity?
Incidentally, I don't care for evidence of unprovable entities. If they want to stay defined beyond the scope of all possible detection then fine; let them have their game. It's evidence of their alleged interaction with the real Universe that I'm interested in. As the Texan Tank, AronRa, once said, "anytime this god reaches down into the mortal plane, it ought to pull its hand out dripping with physics." This is actually not an unreasonable expectation, since interacting with the world is something the character supposedly does all the time.
Conversely, if this god does not or cannot interact with our Universe, there's no difference to it not existing at all, so we can safely ignore it. I merely save time and do that now.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
