I love Luis Black and I know it is stand up, and certainly still funny, but Jews don't get a pass either. The OT God is still a dictator, no matter how much he wants to paint him as simply a parent trying to get his children to behave. This God was still not elected to his position, he cannot be removed, and the OT violence goes way beyond merely arrest and trial. It still talks about slavery, and how girls and women are to be treated and paints them as property, not equals.
And even with modern Jews you have differences, liberal Jews do not side with the Orthodox Jews even if they support Netenyahu. And younger Jews in the west especially don't always side with Israel's tactics to the same degree as their parents.
