This issue of “different interpretations” of Scripture is why there are some 43,000 Christian sects. Made me think of this:
You can have a zillion different interpretations of many different biblical doctrines, but the thing that makes a christian a christian is faith in Jesus Christ. I could say that I don't believe in evolution because there so many different variations of how we evolved to what we are now. Does that mean that the theory of evolution is nonsense? Just because christians disagree on interpretations of scripture doesn't mean that we are not together as followers of Christ. My christian brothers and sisters come from many different denominations. We're all one in Christ.
I'm glad you say that all your need is faith in Jesus Christ. I'm assuming you consider Catholics, Mormons, and all the Protestant denominations to be equally "Christian" then?
