She obviously didn't feel that task. Isn't refusing treatment for a very treatable disease along the lines of intentionally letting yourself die? Doesn't seem very 'up to the task'.
Again if the story was about Jesus talking to a little girl in a dream and she opts out, I would think (and I'm no expert because in my dream He sent me to Hell) Jesus allowed her to opt out and come home early.
