You believe Jesus was the friggin son of God, right?
And he came to earth in this function to lay down the rules that would be binding for us until Judgment day, right? And in doing so, you seriously try to tell us that he had to pander to the middle eastern business people and slave owners of his day, and the best he, the great divine socialist revolutionary who kicked the money changers out of the temple and proceeded to die for the cause, the best he could do was to ask the powers that be to maybe beat the slaves a bit less?
That's so pathetic it's not even funny.
