In the same theist-argument fashion we see around here, Richard Reid, the infamous failed shoe bomber, now says God/Allah/Evil Sky Fairy wanted him to fail. Allah not so angry at the Western infidels that day?
You see, Allah has other plans for him, including rotting in prison forever. It wasn't his time nor those others on the plane.
Also, he is quite sure Islam is a-ok with bombing civilian planeloads of innocents. A debatable point among the faithful no doubt. Too bad Allah wasn't more clear on this rather important matter.
Also too bad, fucking Allah didn't clue him in beforehand he was going to fail. If he was successful? Allah wanted it. If he failed? Allah wanted it. Even though we see these poor examples of critical thinking constantly on this forum and throughout human behavior, I really don't understand it. The willful ignorance and stacking the deck so any outcome reinforces your belief...
Reid's only regret is he didn't plan the attack better. But if he had ;planned better, then he might have been successful, which isn't what Allah wants...How does that work?

Quote:"However, at the same time I also believe that it wasn't supposed to happen, not because it was displeasing to God … rather because it was not either my time to die nor that of those on the plane with me, and he had other plans for me which include my staying in prison and other matters which I may not be aware of as of yet."
