The best pizza I ever had was what they called a "fresco" pizza at Cheesey Pizza in NYC upper west side.
The put garlic butter the dough
Then light slices of cheese cut straight from the block (several blends I think) then sprinkled light sauce over top with crushed basil. Never had anything like it before or since.
