A mystery arose from the rescue: The police officers who entered the water say they heard a voice calling for help.

So, this guardian angel is so fucking inept that it can't attract any attention before rescue workers are in the fucking water?!?

So 4 different first responders all hallucinate the same thing? In the real world minnie that's called being a witness to an event.

Wouldn't be the first, or anywhere near the largest, group delusion/hallucination.

Could be that they rescue workers were believers (even if not particularly religious) and were lying their ass off for gawd.

"What that? Joe says he heard a voice. Well gee, Fred. Guess we oughta tell 'em the same thing?"

Of course, nothing like that could ever happen.
