Do you think the Wright brothers were just yokels who had a rudimentary knowledge of aeronautics, or that their aircraft were particularly successful?
The Wright Flyer was amazing for its time, but hardly an aircraft that was airworthy. It flew for 200 feet on its longest flight. So yeah, with rudimentary knowledge and the ability to make changes to your design without , you can make an aircraft that will take you down the street. For an aircraft that has any use, you need some education and you need to move past basic theory.
But you are still experimenting using the Theory of Gravity.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
