A fair election in Jordan with everyone living in Jordan allowed to vote would be a better plan.
Well, actually the PA has been in a "civil war" and no actual state has been declared (Hamas vs. PA.) and sometimes...it's Islamic Jihad vs. Hamas vs. PA.
Yes, Jordan has most of the "Palestinian" population but this only creates political factions within Jordan. Original Jordan population vs. Palestinians.
You know the best thing to do is for Israel make these Palestinians... Israeli citizens. Import the Lebanese setup of government or some hybrid.
Example:
Prime Minister - Jewish
President - Palestinian
Therefore, everybody could share the land together. The whole point is to make HAMAS disappear with other Islamic groups and the Jewish extremist groups could be diminished as well. At the same time, destroying the impetus for recruits for the Islamic state.
Oh yes, the whole reason for the Americans concern is to diminish any involvement in the future to support another war in the Middle East.
