Indeed. Did you see the video of AronRa at the Reason Rally in Melbourne three years ago, in which he's talking to a particularly irritating street preacher? He tries to make exactly that point and the preacher, instead of considering that he might be wrong in assuming that the serpent was Satan, merely acts surprised that "Satan was a girl".
