This does happen. Have you ever seen/read Savage Grace? It's the true story of Barbara Daly Baekland, a socialite who apparently attempted to cure her son of his homosexuality by having sex with him herself. He wound up stabbing her.

So, yes, Virginia, this shit does happen in real life.

Unsubstantiated - In your example, the one who knew her best as her live-in lover, denies the claim.

Just because an article claims something that correlates to our beliefs does not make it true. Indian newspapers often make rediculous claims, usually about religious magic.
